Darling Moments: Craft Projects

2 darling notes
Mini showcasing my project pile (obviously, not all projects shown)

Just yesterday, I received a CCCOE email from Carolyn of Carolyn's Collection, sharing that her friend, Chase of Oh the Cuteness!, had started a Finish It! Craft Challenge. Basically, it's to motivate you to complete all your unfinished craft projects by December 15. I love how she documented her huge pile of crafts and I soon realized I need to get on my 101 in 1001 list! So I joined her flickr group and even updated my 101 list. I took out a couple sections and incorporated a sewing projects list, other projects list and even baby Bruce's own project list. Ready or not, here we go! ;)

OFF Topic: Ladies Brunch

0 darling notes
source: kosmonautica

A new week has begun and I am ready to take on my list of to dos! :) I think it's because I started it off with a wonderful ladies brunch yesterday hosted by my lovely friend, Megumi. She makes the most amazing dishes... seriously, she's a mix of Julia Childs and Martha Stewart all rolled up into one cute Asian girl. Hehe. It was so good finally catching up with her and my friend, Alice, who I hadn't seen for six plus years! I also got to meet a bunch of new ladies and just had an awesome time chatting and munching all day.

Before I run off to work, I'd like to ask, "What's your favorite brunch dish?" ;) Pancakes? Eggs benedict? I think my favorite from yesterday were the scones and the potato hash brown things. :P Sorry, I forgot the name... but it was delicious!

Have a wonderful Monday!

OFF Topic: Monkey Onesie

0 darling notes

Hello to the new week! :)

I'm so very happy that last week is over since it didn't go quite as well as I had imagined. I thought it'd be another normal week: blogging, emailing, planning, cleaning, decorating, etc. But things started going in a whole new direction starting Wednesday afternoon. To keep things short, Thursday I experienced orthostatic hypotension led by my first panic attack on Friday. :X But all is well now and baby is doing fine. I just need to chill out and breathe.

This weekend, we had an exciting appointment to take a tour of the SF hospital that we may be giving birth at. Both, Brandon and I loved the facility but the only drawback is driving across the Golden Gate, traffic and parking. We'll be checking out the Santa Rosa Labor & Delivery in a couple weeks so we'll decide at that point which we'd prefer. I'm thinking though... ultimately, it'll just all depend on what time of day Bruce wants to come out. If there's traffic going south, we'll most likely head north and vice versa. They are both 30-40 minutes away without traffic, which in my opinion is already a long time to be sitting in a car with major contractions. Hehe.

The monkey onesie above is our first outfit we've bought for little Bruce. :) We've received a lot of adorable outfits but just wanted to share this one since Brandon really liked it and picked it out himself. Alright, enough rambling. Have a great Monday! ;)

Fan Moments: Lavender in Busan, South Korea Part II

0 darling notes
I've been so forgetful lately! I completely forgot to post Part II of Lavender's adventure in South Korea. So here they are now:

Having tea at a cafe nearby

At the Haeundae beach again

Lavender seems to love Starbucks

Peeking out

At the sidewalk next to the beach

Starbucks again! - At the airport

Thank you again, Hazel! :) That cake looks so yummy, my tummy started growling as I was putting this post together. :P I'm off to find some sweets now!

OFF Topic: It's A Boy!

2 darling notes

In early May, we found out that the little growing person in my belly is a boy! I was a bit hesitant on announcing it since my dad was a bit skeptical. He was told three times he was having a son but we all ended up being girls. :) So he warned me not to have my heart set on whichever gender is revealed. But I'm sure technology has improved since 30 years ago because after sharing photos of the ultrasound, everyone was convinced the baby was a he and definitely not a she. The ultrasound tech even said that we can "hunt her down" if we ended up with a girl. Lol. Either way, I can't wait to meet the little one! :D

When it came down to names, I really had no choice with the boy name. Brandon had it picked out since he was in junior high: Bruce, after his idol, Bruce Lee. I never realized how opinionated and picky men can be when it came to naming their children. I always imagined it was the mother-to-be's job. Boy was I wrong. So yes, it's been decided: Our baby boy's name will be Bruce. :)

Last Sunday, my mother hosted an awesome baby shower for us down in Orange County. I have to say, it was the best baby shower I've been to... Hehe, it being my first! I'm so glad I got to spend a lot of time catching up with many of my family and friends from SoCal. I miss them all dearly and wish I was able to see ALL of them. Among all the wonderful gifts we received, I wanted to share this adorable illustration of a tiger that our friends Tommy and Erin made for us! You can pull down his jaw and it says, "Welcome Bruce!" in his mouth! Isn't it cute and so creative?! I can't wait to finish decorating our room and hang it up! Nothing has progressed since the last bedroom update, but times a tickin' and my belly's getting bigger by the minute so I hope to have it done by the end of this month? Hehe, this weekend, I'll be clearing out part of the closet to make room for little Bruce. Let's see if I can get it done so I can relax in time to celebrate July 4th.

Hope you have a wonderful July 4th weekend!

Shout Out - Christine Wu

2 darling notes

I had the pleasure of seeing Christine Wu's artwork in person at my best friend's grad show at Art Center a while back. Of all the illustrative works that were posted around the campus, I was immediately drawn to hers, especially Ghoul's Night Out. I felt like I was being sucked in and into my own world with each of her pieces. I hope to see more of her work soon! :)
