Shout Out - Clay Bunny Creations

Polymer Clay Artist Darci



Darci is a self taught polymer clay artist that's been sculpting with clay for over 15 years. She hosted a May Giveaway for a Radiant Rosette Pendant over at her blog, Clay Bunny Creations. May was definitely a lucky month for me because I won the pendant! I received it in the mail shortly thereafter and I was surprised at the itty bitty details that she was able to craft together. I loved that she added a sparkling stone off to the bottom side! I knew I was going to give the charm to my mom because she loves flowers, her favorite color is pink and it was SO her. But I hadn't figured out what to put it on... a necklace? a charm bracelette? Finally, the week my sister came up to visit, we found a cellphone charm with "LOVE" in the same color and I instantly knew that I was going to put those together. Voila! :D She got it this past weekend and LOVED it!

Peko, the Cow Penguin Plush, in China - Part I

Last Monday, I mentioned here that I was excited about sharing photos for my Fan Moments. And here they are! :D

R gave H a special penguin plush doll dressed up in a cow costume for Valentine's Day. She instantly loved him and they decided to name him Peko. Since then, R&H have taken him on various adventures. In April, I posted a couple photos they sent me of Peko in San Francisco. So darling! :) And recently, the couple took him half way around the world to China where his big adventure began. :D Here are Part I of the photos:

Teacake Bake Shop


I'm drooling as I'm writing this post. :P I'm not sure if you know this but I LOVE cupcakes! So, I wanted to share this yummy cupcake shop that I'm in love with: Teacake Bake Shop. Delicious! They have a selection of their everyday cupcakes and there's a Daily Special Cupcake for each day of the week. If that doesn't make your stomach growl, they sell freshly baked cookies too! :D I have yet to try them.

I was disappointed in the service last week which was a surprise because usually they're very sweet. But I can never complain about their yummy cupcakes. I just found out there's one in Corte Madera (closer to home). I haven't gone to it yet, but I shall stop by sometime soon.

Marcy Necklace


Back in April, I posted about how I won a Marcy Necklace by Stephanie from the scavenger hunt game. Yay, me! Hehe. It's about time I shared my customized necklace! It's my fault, not Stephanie's. It took me weeks to take it off my neck and take a photo of it. ;) And I wanted to share a photo of my penguin wearing it too. Some of you may be wondering why it's "T P A" and not "B P A"... My husband's name is Brandon but his Vietnamese name is Tan, like the color, which is what I call him by. :)

Happy Belated Father's Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. I know I'm a bit late but I just wanted to give a mini shout out to my dad. :D Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see him but I called him up to chat for a bit. He's not much of a talker but it was nice hearing his voice. The image above is what I think my dad would look like if he was a penguin. Hehe, just a regular penguin with a mustache and a big red heart.

Personalized Panda Pillow


This panda is personalized "Little Sister!" (Imouto) in Japanese. L's little sister had broken her arm and ordered this pillow to cheer her up. Isn't she a sweetheart? I hope her sister gets better soon. When she told me the story, it totally hit home because my littlest sister broke her arm when we were younger. Except, I didn't get her a pillow to cheer her up. The only thing I remember doing is freaking out, crying and calling 911 because her arm looked ... out of place. Oh, memories. :)

Youth in Arts: Italian Street Art Festival Part II












Here are the rest of the photos from the Italian Street Arts Festival. The ones that stood out most to me were the large scale faces. The way they popped from the ground with their vibrant colors and realistic painting technique was amazing. My sister's favorite was the cupcake on the beach, of course, since she's got a soft spot for pastries (pastry student). :D

Domo Penguin's Layover





I wanted to share a few photos of the penguin plush in a Domokun costume during his layover in Los Angeles. He had to be checked for any sharp objects or liquids prior to his flight to Guatemala. Hehe, actually my BFF was sending other gifts so he was sent from my house to hers. :)
