Chocolate Cake with Cherries




Here's a huge chocolate cake plush (pillow?) that measures about 11 inches wide. Yum! :D I tried posting this earlier but the internet connection was horrible. So instead, I watched my sister bake an Angel Food cake (delicious!) and a marble cake with chocolate frosting for one of my other sister's friend. Hehe. I got to taste all the leftovers and boy, were they yummy!

I'm visiting my family in Southern California and I'm afraid I'll be gaining lots of lbs ...and I won't be able to fit into my wedding dress! Eeek! It's too hard to resist great homemade food (that you didn't make yourself). Btw, I found "the one" and I definitely teared up and felt mushy inside. Never thought I'd experience that! What a wonderful day. :D

Personalized Penguin Plush



I was looking forward to blogging this morning because I couldn't wait to share this special personalized penguin with you. :D This is definitely one of my top favorite personalized penguins. The red argyle hoodie (or sweater with a hood) was so fun to make and it turned out to be so cute against the black and white penguin. What was really awesome is the icon of the treble clef and the bass clef which made a little heart! My client sent me a picture of it and asked to get it on the hood of the sweater. I just thought it was very clever since I hadn't seen an icon like that before. I was so excited once I was finished I couldn't wait to take photos of it. I stole one of my dog's hangers and the hoodie fit perfectly. :P Thank you LJW, it was a pleasure working with you.

What girl doesn't love this combination? :D Brandon surprised me last week by sending me a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate. What a sweetheart! It's so nice having some greenery in the house. And the chocolates? Has anyone tried Harry London Chocolates before? Oh my, they just melt in your mouth and YUM! I had a box of truffles and each one was different with the perfect chocolately sweetness. If you haven't eaten some you've got to try these. I'd share mine but I ate them all already. :P

Heart Shaped Pillows for Mom



I made my mom two heart shaped pillows for Mother's Day out of the pink polka dot fabric she chose many months ago. I think she just realized yesterday that her favorite color has unconsciously been pink. The white pillow with the "K" has the polka dot back and the second pillow is pink with the polka dot back. You'd think these would be for a little girl's room but she loved them. <3

The other week, I was randomly shopping for vases on Etsy and discovered this CUTE little shop. I immediately knew I was going to get something and started clicking through each item, basically wanting to put everything in my shopping cart. So I finally decided on this bird vase that totally reminded me of my penguin and HAD to get it. :D I was ecstatic... like to the point where I was jumping up and down when I paid for the order. I figured it'd only take a day or two to get since Ms. Mendicino resides in San Francisco. Read her profile here. When I got it I almost screamed with joy... and I am NOT exaggerating. Lol. It's bigger than I had imagined and definitely one of my favorite items I've bought online. :D Ms. Mendicino has so many other wonderful items, like this trio - my picks, that I'm sure I'll be back again!

Katsu loves his new sock monkey toy that was included in the care package. He was playing with it all weekend long that it's already starting to come apart. I picked my sister up from the airport Friday and she stayed till Sunday. We did quite a bit of things and all had so much fun for such a short amount of time. We definitely didn't let the rain bother us one bit. Brandon (the mister) had Monday off so we spent the day watching movies and fixing our closet since the hanger poll broke off. For the first time in my life, I watched The Graduate. Definitely a must see. I mean, who hasn't seen it, right? I suppose I might be the only one who's waited 25 years to see it. :)
